OBTAINING FUNDING

The key to obtaining finance is to create a worthwhile project, and to identify the right potential funders. But it helps to know the difference between a Bid and a B.I.D.!

I have experience of the full range of funding techniques and sources. The organisations and programmes I have run, have successfully attracted funding from commercial, public, and charitable sources.

The City Challenge programme actively attracted large sums of mainstream, European and SRB funding. A particular success was the amount raised from charitable and lottery sources.

GLE used a series of joint venture companies and projects to secure private sector finance for development initiatives aimed at creating employment.

Trafalgar House used the full range of conventional corporate and property development funding techniques.

Many of the projects that I have been involved in since, have built on this expertise. MBL have been involved in funding programmes and projects through European, SRB, RDA, EP, PFI, private and charitable sources and have provided advice on existing and innovative approaches to funding to a variety of public, private and voluntary sector clients.
